Page yield is measured using the industry-standard 5% coverage page - not a fully inked page.

Most of the page stays blank at 5% coverage. A fully inked page uses far more ink, so you'd get far fewer pages from the same cartridge.

Why is my printer saying 'non-genuine cartridge'?

If you recently updated your printer's software and suddenly saw a "Non-Genuine Cartridge" or "Counterfeit Ink Detected" error message, you're not alone.

Printer manufacturers frequently push automatic firmware updates over Wi-Fi. While they claim these updates improve performance, their primary purpose is often to detect and block third-party smart chips — forcing you to buy their expensive brand-name ink.

Will your compatible ink work with my printer?

Yes. We constantly update our inventory with the latest generation smart chips, engineered to bypass these manufacturer blocks so your printer recognises our cartridges seamlessly.

If you've just installed our ink and encountered this warning, don't panic — in most cases your printer is simply trying to scare you. You can easily bypass it:

If the message persists, take the cartridge out, gently wipe the chip with a lint-free cloth, and re-insert it.

How to stop your printer from blocking affordable ink

To prevent manufacturers from locking you out of affordable ink in future, we highly recommend disabling automatic firmware updates in your printer's settings menu.
